Dry Herbs, Vaporizers, Technology, sounds intimidating but it is not in the least. Dry herb vaping is a simple and satisfying way of enjoying you dry herb products with the same flexibility and enjoyment of traditional flame lit use. Of coarse Concentrates can be vaporized as well but the focus of this section is Dry Herbs Vapor devices.
Some questions we are often asked about dry herb vaporizers at The Smoking Pipeshop…
Whats the difference between other methods? Whats the big deal?
Usually the herb product is burnt, which then gives off smoke. The smoke is then filtered somewhat by passing through the water of a water-pipe or chambers of pipe before it is inhaled. But even after passing through the water, it’s still smoke, filled with tars and gasses from the lighter user to ignite the herbs. A vaporizer doesn’t really need a water filter, as it doesn’t produce smoke in the first place. Filtering either smoke or vapor with cold water may not be such a good idea anyway, for as the MAPS/NORML study showed, the water will also filter out the active components of the herb (like THC), requiring one to smoke more.
Is vaporizing really that much healthier than smoking?
Yes, there is no doubt about that. We believe that with the advancement of herbal & extract specific vaporizer technology, smoking will soon be seen as the old way of medicating.
Does a vaporizer smell when using it?
Compared to smoking, there is hardly any noticeable smell when vaporizing. There can be a slight pleasant scent. Most vaporizers are safe to use without having to worry about the full on smell of burning one.
